Become a member to support the goals and activities of Grand Street Democrats!
Membership is for one year with automatic renewal.
Any person 18 years of age or older who subscribes to and desires to further the purposes of Grand Street Democrats can become a member.
Members will receive voting privileges to vote on GSD club business (endorsements, resolutions, and elections of club officers) when they meet these criteria:
- They are a registered Democrat of voting age.
- They have been a member for at least 90 days.
- They do not vote in another Democratic club.
- They have participated in three GSD events — such as phone banks, GOTV rallies, canvassing, flier distribution — at least one of which must be a GSD meeting.
(If you are renewing your membership, and received voting privileges in the past, you do not need to do anything further to keep those privileges — but we welcome your continued participation and volunteering for GSD events!)
Students under the age of 18 are welcome to join GSD but will not have voting privileges for club business.
GSD is run by volunteers. Membership dues are used to support club activities, including community organizing for endorsed candidates and issues; printing material to promote GSD events; food and drink for GSD meetings; and other appropriate expenses.
Membership is recurring every year, but you can sign in anytime with the username and password you create during the sign-up process to cancel your membership: grandstreetdems.nyc/login.
